About Children of Abraham of the Southern Tier

We are a group of clergy and laypeople of the Abrahamic (i.e, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Unitarian) faiths in Broome County committed to building mutual trust and respect across the Abrahamic religious traditions through interfaith conversation and education.

The Children of Abraham of the Southern Tier is raising the funds and coordinating a community effort packing 30,000 meals on Sunday, September 25th, 2016 from 1 to 4 PM at St. Michael's Recreation Center in Binghamton. We partner with a national organization, Kids Against Hunger, whose mission includes feeding starving children and their families throughout the world. We pack easily-transportable nutritional food packages including rice and soy for a cost of $0.25 per meal. We have local and international partners lined up to transport the food to Syrian refugees.
